Winter weather obscures another launch as the space shuttle Endeavour on STS-108 comes into view well at altitude. Launch occurred 12/5/01 at 5:19 p.m.. Disappointingly, the day before the Lunar Cabin crew was at Kennedy Space Center for the launch but it was scrubbed due to bad weather. This flight carries a new crew and supplies for the International Space Station. The picture inset is an extreme telephoto view of Endeavour pulling away from the solid rocket boosters after separation. | |
