A multiple exposure photograph taken from Patrick Air Force Base shows the progress of an Atlas V rocket as it climbs to orbit during a sunset launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 7:52 p.m. on 22 April 2010. The Atlas carries the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), a sort of unmanned mini space shuttle, for the U.S. Air Force. The X-37B OTV is scheduled to land in California at either Vandenberg Air Force Base or Edwards Air Force Base sometime within the next 270 days after the completion of tests carried out in space. | |
