| A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches the TurkmenAlem52E communications satellite into orbit for the government of Turkmenistan at 7:03 p.m. on 27 April 2015 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The satellite will be using a geosynchronous orbit slot designated for the government of Monaco, hence the added nickname of "MonacoSat". Conditions were extremely cloudy with the rocket disappearing into the clouds shortly after liftoff. | |
