This would be a great shot if it was real! Moments before the 2:45 p.m. launch of the space shuttle Atlantis (STS-122) on 7 February 2008 an Osprey that had been unsuccessfully fishing the Atlantic Ocean passed overhead heading toward the Indian River Lagoon. Seconds later the shuttle blazed in to sight and, with a bit of sleight of hand, the two frames are here combined. Atlantis carries the European Columbus laboratory module to be added to the International Space Station along with seven astronauts to work on what promises to be a very busy mission. | |
