The engines of the space shuttle Endeavour light up the horizon as they spring to life for the night launch of STS-113 to carry a replacement crew to ISS as well as more construction material for the growing space station. Liftoff was at 7:49 p.m. on 23 November 2002 from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. Images of Endeavour waiting on the pad are from late October 2002.
