A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches 60 Starlink satellites into orbit on the fourteenth Starlink mission at 8:25 a.m. on 18 October 2020 from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. This is the sixth flight of this Falcon 9’s first stage having previously supported the launch of Crew Dragon Demo-1, Radarsat (from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California), and Starlink missions 3, 6, and 9. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The Starlink satellites will eventually form a constellation around the Earth providing global satellite-based internet access. |
