A gloomy, overcast, and hazy day heralds the launch of Milstar 6, a Military Strategic and Tactical Relay satellite, for the US military aboard a Titan 4B rocket. Liftoff was at 9:43 a.m. on 8 April 2003 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Pictures show the moment of ignition, and along the top, liftoff, then the row of buses for the invited guests at the VIP observing area inside Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, then the rocket disappears into the clouds. | |
