CRS-24 (Falcon 9) 21 December 2021 |
Space Launch Complex 39A Kennedy Space Center |
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched its 24th Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-24) mission to the International Space Station (ISS) from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center at 5:06 a.m on 21 December 2021. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. The Dragon supporting this mission previously supported CRS-22. The Cargo Dragon spacecraft will stay aboard the orbiting laboratory for about one month before splashing down and returning critical science and hardware to teams on Earth. Extremely cloudy and rainy weather obscured my view resulting in no launch photographs. |
