| Launch Complex 26 is now the Air Force Space & Missile Museum at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The building in the center with the flag over it is the blockhouse that served as launch control for the Redstone rocket that launched Explorer 1, the United States first satellite, into orbit. The windows look out onto the launch pad just a few hundred feet away. |
